Hey, Im trying to get some info on these and other older dodge pickups. Later this year Im hopefully going to get started on a side project truck of some kind. Id like to get an older dodge, but am afraid of having trouble finding parts etc for the rebuild/restoration. I know chevy trucks have tons of places like lmctruck, chevyduty, and yearone where you can get any part new. Does dodge have any places like this that would make a restoration easier? Any tips from anyone whos done this for a first timer? Any info would be great, thanks.

There have been similar posts about this. Simply put, the production numbers by Dodge are far fewer compared to the other two, so parts are going to be a bit more difficult to come by and they are going to cost more. I'd get to know your friendly neighborhood boneyard owner(s).

im not totally committed to the idea yet. Im reluctant mainly because I dont have any spare garage space, and Id think thatd be a necessity, so Im on the verge of being talked out of it for now.

Stock parts are easy to find and fairly cheap for 72-93 Dodges. Custom parts are mostly either non-existent or super expensive.
