I'm having a difficult time removing the steering coupler. I have a 91 Dodge Ram 350 Passenger Van. Automatic w/ the shifter on the steering column and it also has power steering. I'm following the DIY by GlennS on ramchargercentral. However, the van doesn't have the rag joint pictured in the article. The part that goes into the coupler is completely different and sits againts a spring right below the shifter mechanism. It is secured to the shaft w/ a roll pin similar to the one on the coupler. I have removed all securing roll pins but still can't manage to separate this joint from the coupler. I'm moving the joint up shaft toward the steering wheel but doesn't move all the way to free itself. I'm hoping to get this done ASAP. I greatly appreciate any help. TIA!
