OK so who's the computer wiz here?...I have a 92 b350,5.9,ecm number is 5602 7158, bad ECM. I have an ecm from a 91 b350 5.9..identically set up..the ecm is 5602 7157..they tell me they won't interchange..does anyone know for sure?, and is there anything I can "adjust". to make it work?....thanks

Well..there probably isn't anything you're going to able to "adjust" really. It's either going to work or it isn't. Have you tried plugging it in to see if it's going to work? Eventhough you think you have an identical setup, slight variances from year to year may cause the '91 ECM not to work with your '92 engine.

In 91 the fuel injection system was throttle body. The 92 was multi port . If this is the case it will not work.

THanks..No I didn't mean adjust in the literal sense, Was more like thinking if there is only a circuit difference, that I could disconnect or a jumper that I could solder, that's all..thanks

92 is throttle body as well..this is the 5.9...didn't go magnum until 93..only the 5.2 and 3.9 went magnum in 92.that's why I'm questioning it

Ok then I would plug it in and give try. Alot of the time it is just a small calibration change.

That's what I was hoping for....these two are identical...Maybe the 90 didn't have abs, I don't have that van for reference, but all else is equal, thanks guys for all your help
