Finally installed my CC and Breather. I decided not to use the eBay CC because the holes for the in/out on the can itself (not the fittings) were just too damned small. Maybe the size of the ink stick inside of a pen -so I'm thinkin it would be a restriction images/smilies/idunno.gif
Anyhow... I installed the $20 CC instead and used the clear hose that came with the eBay CC on the downside of the can to the TB. If any oil goes by, I'll be able to see it inside the tube. It's dirty as hell cuz I haven't cleaned the engine all winter, but here are some pix:

You can take out the white filter inside the can

I'll yank the filter next chance I get. Amazing after driving just 15 miles seeng a few drops in there already!
One thing I did notice is that when the engine gets up to normal temp - the lines become extremely soft and begin to flatten. Under throttle they open up from pressure, but when going to vac - they almost seem to close completely. Any suggestions on the type of hose to use? I used 3/8 fuel line hose for half of it - that seems to be holding a bit better than the blue hose, which is my main concern. I'll need to change those asap. Just curious as to what type of hose would be best.

Well I made the mistake of getting some colored hoses for mine, looked OK at first but when they get hot they tend to melt, LOL! I am going to switch back to just the regular heavy duty black Goodyear vaccum hoses they sell at Auto Zone. I have replaced a few but here is a quick pic of my engine bay, Waiting on warm weather to really clean it up and straighten everything out. The thick red hose has been increasingly getting shorter and shorter, it likes to tear right at the PVC valve, LOL!!
Took a swing by Menard's on the way home from dinner with the wife and picked up some clear braided hose - supposed to be used for plumbing/pneumatic vaccuum apps. It's thick and I can't squeeze the end of the hose at all, unlike the fuel line or the blue hose I'm using right now. Very very very hard. I'm gonna replace it tomorrow after I give her a bath and such then go driving for a while. I'll be keeping an eye on it throughout the day to check for collapsing and melting. I was going to buy 300 PSI air hose (like you use for tools) but this hose isn't orange and it feels harder! I'll update after I beat on her for a few hours tomorrow.

Yeah, I think usually it's suggested to ditch the clear hose because like you said it'll tend to collapse. Mine says 50 psi Fuel/Emission right on it, seems to be good

Madwax, do you just have the intake filter attached directly to the turbo? Or maybe I'm not seeing it clearly.

Some people run like that... The argument is the intercooler is there to cool the air anyways, which gets heated up by the turbo before hand regardless.

Yeah, I have not gotten around to re-instaliing my JMB cold air intake, reason is every time I do something different seem I had to remove it, got kinda old fast, LOL! But once I get everything done I am doing it will go back in, but I have noticed no difference in running temps at all this way, and the sound is next to pure evil under full spool! :rck:

Much better now that I installed the new hoses. Very solid and after driving around for about an hour the hoses are still perfectly round and stiff. The clear braided hose definately lets me know that oil is going from my PCV to the can and the hose after the can is spotless. I still cannot believe how much oil my car collected after 50 miles!
Would definately reccommend the hose from Home Depot - clear braided, found in the plumbing section - 3/8 ID - for use on sink drains and pneumatic / vac. apps. Never thought I'd be using that stuff, lol. $6 for 10 feet.
