I raced one last night, and I know they are fast. I had him by 1 truck length to 80, and then made my 2-3 shift and he walked away from me pretty good to 100. I have seen many go mid-high 13's at the track, so I am just curious as to what you guys are running stock. This guy did tell me about a few mods, but I was excited about racing and only remember him saying that he had a cutout. My truck goes 8.7's in the 1/8th. This guy was 1 length behind me to 80mph, but then walked on me just passed the 1/8th mile mark.

The best stock times I've seen - the worst "normal" times:

1/4: 13.7-14.4
1/8: 8.8-9.5

They trap more like 83-85 in the 1/8 so comparing to your times in your sig it's understandable him walking by 80+. Realistically your truck is a pretty good match up for a stock SRT, advantage to you on the low end then to the SRT-4 as speed increases. The FWD kills us in first and second, so it's catch up in third and fourth. Racing from a roll, these cars can usually hang with cars that run faster 1/4 miles. Also the driver is of course a big factor, some people need to get the driver mod :D Most people hit 2.2+ 60fts on street tires. Though there are plenty that do 2.1-2.0. Beyond that DRs atleast are needed.

We actually raced twice...The first time we went from a 15-20 punch, and I beat him to 60mph when we had to let off for the upcoming light...Thats when we raced from a dead stop. Neither of us spun the tires, but we both got a short chirp...Have you heard of any srt-4 guys running a cutout?? Thats the only mod I remember him saying...he id mention a few others, but I was so excited to race that I wasnt really paying attention to him...oops.

Yeah a lot of people run cutouts, I had one, but I just took it off recently.

Thanks!! The guy I raced didnt spin, so I am guessing we were both at about a 2.0-2.1 60' on the street...so that would put him as a high 13 second car??
