Oil residue?

I just peeked under the car in the driver's fender to get a better idea of what shape to make my splash shield for my intake... I noticed on the pipe going into the intercooler (charge pipe? I'm still new to what turbo stuff is called) there was some oil residue around the clamp area. It only has 1500 miles on it - but i've been driving it hard the past two weekends. The wife and I are looking at houses so I had to be sure I was "on time" wherever i went!

Obviously going to go over all clamps etc to be sure to stop any slight boost leaks i may be having... but is it normal to have oil build up through those lines? I think i need a dang catch can and fast!

Catch can!

I just put one on my car finially two days ago. Only driven 100 miles, surprising to see how much oil is in there already! About a teaspoon full.

Makes me wonder how much oil I have sitting in the cold side pipe and intercooler after 11,000 miles.

Just bought the eBay catch can and it should be here next week... at least now I'll have more room under the hood after I install the CAI this weekend!
