my brake lights have stopped working. i had someone change the all the bulbs and they checked the fuses but they still don't work. why? i called the dealership and they said they would have to do a diognostics which would cost about $98 and i don't have it. so i was wondering if anyone knew what the problem could be? :help:

you can check the plugs with a multimeter to see if you are getting 12V to the light plug or plugs ..... what year truck or car .. will give us a better idea of what we are working with .. also sent a mod a message to have this moved to the correct forum so you will get better exposure ;)

If all 3 lites don't work and the bulbs are good, it sounds like the brake light switch. I'm not sure about the Intrepid, but most cars have it physically located high on the brake pedal under the dash,

First woul dhave to ask if it was the tail lights and the brake lights not working?? then I would have to say that jfitch is right about the brake lights if it was only them..If it is all the lights try running a 12+ wire to them from the battery and see if they work then..If not try the same thing with a ground..To each and every bulb...spike6969
