If I want to buy the exact same front grill as the one on the SRT-8, which should I get?? I found so many different kinds, I just want the SRT-8 grill that looks like a honeycomb... black...
Thanks.

I need to buy them online from somewhere... our dealer does not have them...
The thing is that I am finding a number of places like wycoffmopar, ebay etc but dunno which is the original Daytona honeycomb grill...

The honeycomb grill is the insert for Daytona's and SRT8s...
The SRT8's come with the crosshairs (not the insert) painted body color while the Daytona's crosshairs are black.
I got the SRT8 grill (body color w/honeycomb) from leeparts (http://www.leeparts.com/cat-1-0-27.html) some time ago...
They have most of the variations there...
You can change it yourself but it can be frustrating (no need to remove the entire front clip). Search chargerforums.com and/or lxforums.com for instructions.

It might be cheaper to have the grille on your car painted black than to buy a new one.
The honeycomb inserts on the other hand are very inexpensive. I also recommend the R/T badge from the Daytona, which is around $20 if I remember (don't quote me on that).

the R/T badges from the Daytona's are $40 and $45 acording to what I have found.

I was looking into changing the grille on my Charger R/T and I also like the blacked out honeycomb style on the Daytona, however; I do not care for the R/T badge. I've noticed that the R/T badge is a separate part number so my question is can I order the grille without the R/T badge? I keep seeing it advertised as a package or just buying the inserts for the grilles but I want the whole assembly, no chrome in the grille is my goal.

can I order the grille without the R/T badge?
Yes, the honeycomb inserts and the R/T badge are two different part numbers and can be ordered separately.

Do you have a part number for just the grille without the R/T badge?

Has anyone already done the legwork to find the cheapest/best place to buy the grill inserts and R/T badge?
I plan to do this mod and don't want to reinvent the wheel.

look at places like leeparts.com and moparsupercenter.com to get the part numbers. And then research for price.
Some of the places have "kits" for the most popular combinations of grills, etc.

How hard is it to put the grill insert in?

not bad it is just mainly having a small enought screwdriver to take out the 4 phillips screws holding the grill in with out taking the whole fromnt off. It olny took me about 20 min to change it out.

I will get a pic as soon as I find my dig camera. the screws there are 2 in the center that are easy to get, then there are 1 on each end of the grill you have to get them from reaching down between the front and the rad support .
