Help!! Starter Replacement!!

Help please. I've got a 98 Caravan 3.8L. I am attempting to change the starter but the bolts are rounded. Not rolled over stripped and not allen or torx. I have no friggin idea how to get them off!!! I cannot even get plyers close. I am at a total loss. Help please!!!

The bolt heads are metric; 15mm if my memory serves me well

are you using imperial sockets/wrenches or metric and are you using 6 or 12 point sockets
