Hello gang....I am having trouble with my 3.3 2004 Caravan.
Last Monday, I filled the gas tank full. Drove about 200 miles. The next day, it took about 6 key turns(cranking) before the vehicle would start. All week it ran fine. Saturday morning, it would not start at all. I went to the Autoparts store and got some gasline antifreeze and injection cleaner. I also plugged in the block heater. After about 1 hour of cranking every 10 minutes, the van started. Ran fine all day. Parked for about 4 hours that night. That evening it would not start again. Nothing would work this time. It just will not start. Of course the van is out of warranty(35,000miles). The dealer at $80/hr shop labor is still trying to find the problem. They are saying a wiring problem to the fuel pump. Anyone have any ideas! B4 it costs me a fortune.!!!!
Next day......

Well thanks anyway.....I got my answer....and gee it only cost me $297.58!!!!
Chrysler ---> "Open circuit in wiring between PCM and Automatic Shut Down Relay"
The van is only 1 1/2 years old and wires are already starting to corrode. Hmm....I have a 15 year old GMC truck in the driveway, that has never had a wrench to it, except for general routine maintanence.

Yeap..... six fuses, faulty tail lights, faulty turn signals, faulty ignition wires, faulty turn signal/headlight relay, and they say this van doesn't have an electrical problem...hmmm
And now its starting to clunk from the front end every time I hit a small bump in the road.(there is a tech bulletin on that one!!)

1 service tech to try and locate problem 3hrs...$228.00
5 feet of wire and shrink tube for wire.....$2.50
Van back to drive 4 kids to hockey.......PRICELESS!!!!!
And yes....my next vehicle real soon will be something other than Daimler/Chrysler!!!!
I did speak with Chrysler Canada, and to no avail....other than "you should purchase an extended warranty plan"....they would not help....even though there is a "Service Bulletin" on the PCM for faulty connections.
BUYER BEWARE.....CHRYSLER will turn their backs!!!!
Maybe a Clydesdale....they only need oats!

Around here we get a 3yr/36,000 mile warranty. You state that you have 35,000 miles. Maybe you should push your problem higher up the Chrysler Management chain. Just a thought.
