2006 Grand Caravan....
Drivers door rear doesnt open from pillar switch. However it worked a short while today (by switch) It also worked on its own, aka 'possesed'. Literally. It opened and closed on its own while I was unloading the back of the van.
Also while parked with the engine running, I would try to reach back and press the pillar switch from my seat. That motion, whatever I bumped or brushed caused the door to open or close BEFORE I got near the switch. And I mean I sat perfectly still for a minute then turned around to try and hit the switch and the door opened...Crazy...Perhaps a wiring issue Inside the pillar?

Wife needs it for work tomorrow and it's gonna be lame if that door malfunctions for everyone. I engaged the overhead child lock and it seems to have cutoff the doors 'will to open'...
Should I take some potshot at computer reset of some sort?
Thanks
Tony (3500 miles??)

Surprising no one has any info.
I guess I am cutting edge with this 2006

Anyway, I dropped it off today, but the dam switch was working. The guy actually said, though, that the wierd hatch problem and the sliding door are known Cold Weather problems related to the BCM ( I think BCM). "Software" issue??? Cmon, its programmed to open the friggin slider on its own when it's cold out?
Oh well, maybe it wont recurr until next winter, and by then Dodge will have figured it out.

I have had twice now where all my locks quit working by the remote or the door panel. Both times I have had them clear the code and all good again. They want to replace the BCM, but another member has the same problem and replacing the BCM did nothing. So I will wait until another solution is found.
