The new 2007/2008 Chrysler minivans are to get complete new drivetrane, this means replacing the existing 4 speed with by a brand new 6 speed The 62TE.

Unfortunetly the 62TE is just the 42TE with a couple of added gears from what I have read . Would have been nice to have a completely new tranny that would have a better reliability record than the famous 42TE . Hopefully they will get it right and not have any problems with it . The new v6's should be interesting , a lot of added HP for the bigger V6,hopefully the tranny is up to th e extra HP.

Ya she's a nice one, with that xtra HP and those 2 extra gears, makes for a really nice ride. Aparently they showed it of at the Detroit auto show.

if the 6 speed is cut from the same cloth as the 4 speed, we can look forward to 50% more trouble
