:VHOT: We have a 2003 T&C Limited. We purchased it in July of 2004 with 38,000m and currently have 64,000m on the van. We have had a bucking issue when you take off since like April of 05, not ever time just sometimes. We cleaned the throttle body, that seemed to help a little but it was still there. Had a full service done, still there. They swore "the plug wires we put on were bad and now its fixed" its still there. Transmission has been serviced, twice even. Then we figured out the problem. The shop we were taking it to has the computer system for it but my van refused to talk to it!!!! We took it to a Chrysler shop and it was gone......for 3 glorious days. It has since been reprogrammed 4 times, and worked for a shorter time span each time, this last time it didn't work at all. Now almost a year after all this started I am being told I need a new transmission!!! Before I shell out $1600 for this could it be just the computer or the solenoid pack?? I would really hate to go with this diagnosis and then have it still do the same thing. Any help is appreciated. Melanie

If your Trans is the problem you should be covered under the 7/70 warranty that was incl with most 2003's.

unless you know how to interpet the scanners findings, i.e CVI indexes or TCM trouble codes, your at their mercy. But from what you described it sure sounds like the transmission is toast.

If it continued to act up after they uploaded the latest software into the computer its most likely theres internal damage and their right.

I had the same problem with my 03 Grand Caravan. After numerous trips back to the dealership, they put in a new tranny. With the 7/70k warranty there is still a $100 dollar deductible.Mine went out at 68k.
