My first weekend with the wife's brand new RT.
So I had to go in to the shop this morning for a couple of hours. It's Sunday so I decided to take donuts to the guys. As I was leaving the donut shop I noticed morning break was in 30 minutes and this drive usually takes 37, the donuts can't be late. THE DONUTS CAN'T BE LATE!
So there I am bobbin and weaving down US 59, passing everyone including a brand new silver mustang gt. The highway turns to 3 lanes, I make the wrong choice and the mustang blows by 2 lanes away. I get in behind him as he gets stuck behind 3 cars abreast. I see him looking, he knows I'm there and when he sees where the gap is going to be he slows down to take a running start at it. He takes it and I'm right in there behind him. This is where it goes to 5 lanes each way and it's clear. I get beside him and just pull right on thru. There was no doubt. It was easy, I never once had the pedal all the way down. When I looked down the speedo was at about 126 or 127. Though my blood was pumping pretty hard I got a good look. I give the guy credit, he kept trying even after I was completely past.
The donuts arrived with 3 or 4 minutes to spare (no traffic helped).
Nobody was hurt......... but one pony got a nasty bruise.
I hope 4 days was long enuf for a break in period. Zee
