Does anyone know how to remove the casing for the radio in my 2000 Dodge Intrepid? I have an aftermarket radio installed and it's beginning to pop and cut out like having bad solder connections or ground. I can do the repairs but just can't get the radio out of the dash.
Thanks

I depends on whether or not your shifter is on the floor on or near the steering wheel. If it is on the floor, put the e-brake on and put the car in neutral. The pop up the casing the covers the shifter. Now pop off the face plate that covers the stereo, and a/c controls. Unplug the a/c controls and there should be four screws that hold in the stereo. If you shifter in by the steering wheel, just open up the ash tray and take it from the face plate above. The face plate just pops right on and off.
