Hi, maybe somebody has expierience using Intrepid in areas where are low temperatures (about minus 30-35 degrees Celsius) during winter season. With motor oil no problem when I strarted using Mobil 0W50, which is still liquid enough in such a temperature. But what is recomendation regarding oil for automatic transmission???
There is very big noise just after start from the transmisson, which stops after approx. 30 seconds, but it is not good for it. :help:

You definitely want to use synthetic oil and trans fluid, as it retains better flow characteristics that conventional oils in the cold. When you start the car let it warm up for several minutes and reach operating temp before putting it into gear. These two things should help stop the trans noise.

I am warming up it always about 10 minutes, but the problem is that just after start I hear very big noise from gear box side; it dissapear after ~40 seconds but still it is not very nice to hear it.
I was talking with technician people in our dealer, so they said that it is ok that I am using Mobil 0W50 oil, which is perfect is this situation as it is still viscous enough even at minus 30 - 35 degrees. But to the question about other possibility to use oil in gear box, the answered that they haven't heart about any other special oil for gear box, except that the only one, which is recommended by manufacturer. Regarding that noise from gear box just after cold start they said that it could be a noise from reducer valve or something like that, as the oil in gear box is more viscous than usual.
