what will i need for this engine swap

hello. and thank you in advane! I am going to swap a 440 from a 78 trailduster 4x4 to a 86 ram p/u 2wd. the 86 has a 318 in it at this time. I have already priced a new tranny to go with the big block. but i would like to know what other thing are going to have to changed to get this project done. thanks again. Mark

Good thing the Trailduster and the Ram truck are very similar too the Ramcharger... this mod has been done before. There is a list of things you need to get and this "how-to" covers most of them..

Also if you can't find all the items you neeed, these guys have IT ALL when it comes to swapping in a big block into a D or W series truck! Good bunch of guys too since they helped me get my own BB swap started into my 87 Ramcharger http://www.bouchillonperformance.com/Default.asp

The most important thing you will need is a BB tranny and the motor mount adapters. Sounds like a fun swap. Good luck.

It is a fun swap....although my wallet doesn't like it when I tend to push it too the floor on my 400/451 in my ramcharger..
