Trying to perk up my mom's 1995 Caravan with the 3.0L engine.
Does anyone have any cheap mods for such a vehicle ? Any tips on spark plugs; heat range or one heat range cooler than stock ? 180 t-stat ? Is a cold air intake possible on such a vehicle ?

Here is the modifications I have made on my 3.0 Dodge Caravan :
- 180° thermostat
- 8 mm Accell spark plug wire set
- Splitfire spark plug (SF6D)
- 58 mm Throttle body (found on a 1998 Dodge Caravan with the 3.8 engine)
- K&N cone filter
- ported plenum (quite easy to do)
You can also have :
- intake spacers ( http://www.fwdmoparmuscle.com )
- you can upgrade the ignition of your minivan with MSD products.
You can also do a lot of modifications but it's not really cheap :
I plan on adding a Eaton M90 Supercharger on my 3.0 Dodge Caravan.

how easy was it to intsall a 58mm Throttle Body?
And what is a 180 thermostat?
And what does the ported plenum do?
Sorry about the questions =)

the 2 modifictions of the throttle body and the ported plenum are to add more air in your intake.
you can find how to do these modifications here :

The 180° thermostat is to replace the 195° which came with your engine.
The cooler is your engine, the better it works.

You haven't encountered any codes being thrown with a 180 t-stat ?
