I am just curious as to what the reccomended oil type and Transmission fluid types are for a 3.3.

Maybe we could put a list together of the recommended lubricants.

Man I need to get a manual.

The general recoomendation is to use any quality 5W-30 oil in these engines , stick with names brands like Havoline or Valvoline or something like that . For the transmission use "only" Mopar ATF +4 , do not use anything else if you want the tranny to laST.

Got ya.

Cause I plan to change the oil and Tranny fluid completely this week.

I checked it the other day and the oil is a bit higher then needed, and its dark so hasnt been changed in some time.
Tranny fluid certainly needs to be changed.

They told me the tranny had been replaced and had 1000 miles on it but that gos to my guy on wednesday to be checked as they could produce no paperwork for it.

Thanks allot, Wil make sure to get the right stuff.

Consumer Reports had a really good study of motor oil a couple of years ago. They said, basically, that you can't go wrong with any oil that has the petroleum society's seal on it, even if it's not a name brand. And I do, on occasion, find no-name oils on the shelves without the seal.

Go to your public library and dig into their archives of Consumer Reports to read it. Very interesting, and will tell you all you need to know to make an informed decision on what oil to put in your vehicle.
