....Does anyone have a hook up on a 3.5?? This happened last summer and its been sitting since. I was just driving and it cut off and would not even turn over. But the radio and air would come on. Brought it to the shop and they said the crank is locked :dunno: Oi was changed 3-5k tune up was done 4-5k miles b4 this happened. I would like to get this mug back on the road this summer. But don't know which way I should go....

Is this shop reputable? Have you thrown a socket on the crank bolt to check it your self?
You should check into a rebuilder, for what you will pay for a used engine and what the install will be I would invest my money properly. You can probably get a completely remanufactured unit installed for around $2,200. If you get a used engine it will cost you in the $700 to $1,000 range depending on mileage etc. Plus another $500 to $800 labor to install. Most of the reman's come with a 3/36 today.

Yeah this shop is cool. I called around last summer and a rebult motor runs $2,500 and some change. Plus $950 to get it put in. The car is only worth that much n/m. But at the time the j.yard had one with 97k for $450 but didn't have the cash. I'm looking on the net maybe I can get lucky and find one for $250-300
