Front axle seal

I have to replace the front drivers side axle seal on my 85 w-100. I am just wondering how to do this or the simpler way to do this, i have the service maunal but im still not sure about a few things. im not sure what the front axle is on it or how much work is actually involved.

any input would help, i plan on doing this probably on saturday

you probably have a spicer 44

i agree its probably a Dana 44 and if your talkin about the inner axel seal...the ring gear has to come out i think. and if your gonna go that far you had might as well do the carrier bearings and both the seals and probably the pinions seal...they usually leak anyway...so while its all apart its worth the extra money.
