Yesterday when starting up my 2005 Grand Caravan SXT the speedometer and tach moved all the way to the right (pegged) and all the lights on the instrument panel turned on. The gauges then went back to normal and everything seemed fine. It did this to me twice that day and the van ran normally. I tried to find a code today, but all I got was "done" so I assume there are no error codes. Like I said, the van still runs fine, but we're getting ready to take a roadtrip over the holiday weekend so I don't want to take the van if this is a serious problem. I'd appreciate any advice or help.
Thanks!

For some reason your instrument panel is going into a self test. This is probably not a serious problem. You might try running an instrument panel test yourself. With the key in the ignition but not on, hold down the odometer button for a couple of seconds until the needles start jumping. All of the lights and LEDs flash for about 10 or 15 seconds. Maybe if you do this once it will stop doing it on its own.

I have seen brand new '05 caravans do this on occasion, doesnt seem to mean anything just does it randomly
I know the last generation of the Pontiac grand am they all did it every time you started the engine
