First timer here. I did a search for this problem without any luck. For some reason, the power sliding door is hard to open and close by hand.
I greased all 3 tracks thinking that was it with no luck. The motor opens
and closes the door fine but it almost feels like when I'm opening/closing
by hand, I'm having to move the motor too. Any ideas?

try getting siome good spray synthetic lube, Valvoline makes a good one . Spray all 3 wheels at the point where the bearings are . This will make a huge difference . If its working correctly you should be able to close it with a couple of fingers . Have a 96 and all the sliders work like new . Also you should not grease anything on these as far as opening and closing , these doors basically ride on 3 wheels and trying to grease the area where the wheels roll will make things worse , should be no grease where the 3 wheels roll .

I have the same problem with my 2002.
The problem is the clutch is dragging so you are forcing the gearing and motor to spin when you operate the door manually. I took mine apart and cleaned it and then it worked fine for a few weeks but now the problem is back.
If you're not cheap like me, you can buy a new motor assembly (the clutch is part of it) and solve your problem.
I'll let you know if I am successful fixing it without buying a new assembly.

Has anyone been able to fix this problem without buying a new motor assembly?

I took the motor apart and found the problem. Greese works its way past the seal and contaminates the clutch. The metal disk should spin freely when power is off to the actuator but the greese leaks in and creates viscous coupling (sticks the smooth surfaces together). Degreese the clutch disk and the seal and it now works fine.

Silence????
Has anyone fixed their door as I described?????
I had expected people would want to send me money or cut my grass for solving what I thought was a common problem....

Mine is still working fine.

My 2001 Caravan door is having the same problem. How difficult was it to remove the motor and clear out the grease? Any special tools needed? Thanks for your help.

It is not hard to do. The only special tool required is the torx driver that fits the motor to take it apart. I didn't have one and used an allen wrench (that fit nicely) instead. If the post doesn't answer all your questions post back up.

Doesn't sound like too bad of a job. I think I'll tackle after the holidays are out of the way. Thanks!
