Hi to all. This is my first post on this forum. I have a 1999 Dodge Caravan and I have lost all speeds (one at a time) except for the fastest speed on the heat - A/C blower motor. Can anyone tell me if I should start looking at the switch, blower motor, relay or something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

Problem here is the blower motor resistor block. It is located under the hood, on the firewall, at the top, right next to your passenger-side strut tower. The part is dealer-only, but cheap, $16.

Removal is quite difficult, but it is held in with just two metal spring clips, one on each side. You just tug/wiggle it straight out. The hard part is getting your hand or a tool in there to grab it. You can get a little extra room by removing the nut that fastens the A/C line to the strut tower and shove the line off to one side a bit. Invest in some Mechanix or similar gloves, otherwise you'll be a bloody mess (I got used to them when the race team I'm on required them. Now I can hardly work on the car without them). Then you just disconnect the wiring harness, and reverse procedure to reinstall. That should fix it.

For safety's sake, disconnect your negative battery cable so you don't short anything while doing this job.

Good luck, and let us know if it works.
