Are you going to break 'em in easy like what Randy's Ring and Pinion recommends or are you going to be with a tape measure checking to see if the wide black marks on the pavement are equal in length?

Coop964x4 on the other site has 4.56's in his, and noticed an increase in mileage over stock even with those gears. I should have gotten the 4.10 ratio in mine when I ordered it. But I knew the diesel would have enough torque at low rpms to get 'er rollin' even with the 3.54's. And it does, but after being on the various forums, I have found that the engine runs its most efficient around 2,000 rpms, so the lower gears would have actually helped on the highway as far as mileage goes. So, I just add more power to compensate for the highway gears and big tires. :D:D:D:D:D:D

I went on the better safe than sorry method - I've heard mixed reviews as to whether or not you baby them the first 500 miles or just go for it
so I took it easy on them.
Now I'm ripping dual stripes on the ground whenever the occassion comes up . . .

I'm about to drop the cash on the 4.10's this week. I'm going to buy my own parts and have them put in. The only problem I'm having is finding a new carrier for the Dana 44. I need one since it came with 3.55's. I want to have the dealer do it, but I know they'll tear my eyes out of my head with the labor. I'm thinking about $600 total, I'm waiting for a quote. I'm in this sort of abusive relationship with my dealer...I keep going back:D.
