as most of you know, i plan on doing a stroke increase on my truck.. and im not sure what i want to do as far as the intake..

right now i've got a edelbrock dual plane manifold w/ holley truck avenger 670 carb... with the stroke increase, i will have to get a 770 carb for that.. and im not sure if i want to stick with that, or go with a single plane manifold, or even a tunnel ram with dual 470s...

what do you guys suggest?

I've been leaning towards a single plane manifold with the 770.

I'd go with a single plane, the stroke increase will make up for the bottom end power loss associated with the single plane. Something along the lines of a Torker, or even a Victor or a Mopar M1. I had a Victor 340 on my 360, with a Holley carb and it wasn't all that bad on the bottom end, you could just barely feel it was slightly soggier on take off than the 2 bbl. It would roll on the top end though, I turned it to 6200 many times.

I was thinking the Mopar M1 single or dual plane.. and teh single plane is rated at 2,000-6,000 so you really arent losing much, because 99% of the time, im higher than 2,000 rpms.

I have the RPM on my 400 big block and have been very happy with it.
It has the heat crossover in it so it works well in the winter months.
I would go with the standard RPM over the Air gap in your case.
If you are running an RPM currently, I would just keep it. I don't think that the M-1 will give a enough of an increase over it to make a noticeable difference.
