D50 steering box

Anyone have experience with switching an old 80's D50 from power to manual steering? My gear is dead and I want to replace it with a simpler set-up. Besides stiffer steering...any problems in doing this?

I don't think it would be a problem. Sometimes the steering columns are different between power and manual set-ups, but I'm not 100% sure on the D50 trucks. It could be just a simple as a steering box change.
