Is there a way of refinishing the hazed headlight covers on Avengers? The replacement cost is outragous, and would the tinted covers dim the lights?

Try using the "white" rubbing compound with a buffer wheel. That's what I did on my Ram Van and it turned out pretty darn good. I then put a coat of wax on them. So far so good.

Wetsanding is ur best bet trust me. Although it took 6 hours to get them where I wanted them it was worth it. Yours could take less or longer depending on how bad they are.

290? wow. You can get the restoration kit at Autozone for like 17 dollars and some change. If u cant find it there get some wet sandpaper 1000 1500 2000 2500 grit from Home Depot or Lowes etc. and soak whichever one your getting ready to use for about ten minutes and start in the up and down direction first while keeping the paper wet until it looks about even and then move on to the next grit and start sanding side to side and just repeat until you've used all your paper. After it looks all even put some rubbing compound on it or your favorite wax (meguire's for me) and buff till shiny. You can do the whole process over again for as much as you like. They'll be good as new for less than 20 bucks.
