My girlfriend just bought a 95 neon. Problem is non working speedo. Is it a cable operated or a electronis sensor thingy. Where do I start behind the dash pod or at the transmission? :huh:

It's electronic. Try this link. (http://www.neons.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=18) I had to add some solder to mine to fix it. The speedo is the lower left pin on the left side and the lower right pin on the right side. If that dosen't do it, It could be the alt. belt.

make sure your cluster is plugged in tight... my dashlights were completely out when i bought my car... i though it was bulbs (gauges still worked though). i pulled the cluster and all the bulbs were fine... put it back in, made sure it was tight and problem solved.

THe alt belt is my bet! I had the same similar problem with my guages Speedo would go nutz and then quit. I replaced the belt and all is well.GOOD LUCK
