2001 neon transmission prob

hi, can anyone help? I'm new to this, just recently came over to the states from the uk (military posting) I bought a 2001 plymouth neon and within 20 miles it dumped all its transmisson oil. I took it to a Midas garage how fixed the leak (a pipe going into the transmission I think -$800) Unfortunately I now have a engine warning light to do with the torque solenoid, another garage replaced this but the warning is still there and the second garage says its an electrical problem. Running out of money so if anyone can help and point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
