What kind of mileage does the Charger get? (With the Hemi of course!)

So you have had your Chargers for a while now? How do you like them?

I am fairly pleased with the gas mileage - I was hoping it would be better, but I shouldn't expect too much from a 4200 lb beast with 350 hp engine.

It is by far the best car I have ever had. I am still a truck or SUV person first, but for a car, this thing is great. It drives great, handles great, interior is nice, sound system is pretty good for stock, and it gets a lot of head turns. Just today in the parking garage at work I was coming back from lunch and a guy was looking at my car parked in the garage. I had rode with another guy to lunch and we walked past in the garage I saw this guy looking at it, and I hit the panic button on the key chain and watched him jump about 2 ft. in the air.

For a few extra bucks you can add some nicer upgrades to it such as wheels and tires, spoiler, a couple of simple performance mods, and have a car that will look good for years and be able to beat 90 to 95% of the cars you would regularly see on the road. Even better is that you can do it all for a lot less money than you could spend on something else.

epowell; I like your car as well, very clean looking. what are you rolling on? Were do you go to look for mod's. (web page) I like what you did with the grill.

Rollin on 20" Akuza rims (20" x 9" Creepin Model I believe) and Toyo Proxes ST 265/45/20.

I got the grill off of ebay. Just search on 2006 Dodge Charger and there are quite a few things listed. I can't tell you off the top of my head where the AirAid intake came from, but it was a good deal on-line. I think it cost me $140 and at least looking at dyno numbers had the same results as K&N, Mopar, or Volant. I put a lot of money into a custom exhaust on my Durango Hemi and decided not to go that route this time as I don't really think it is worth the money for the small performance gain, so I just replaced the big baffled suitcase muffler underneath the car with 2 x Magnaflow straight through mufflers. Sound is much better and meaner and it cost a 1/3 of what a cat back system costs for really about the same sound improvement and performance.

Search these posts and there are quite of few links on different on-line sites to purchase accessories from. Dodge Charger Forums web site is also a good one.

Just Checked My R/t.went 304 Miles And Only Used 14.9 Gallons.thats Alittle Better Then 20 Mpg.that Was Mixed Driving(got The New Magnaflow Exhaust Put On,so There Was Alittle Playing To).so I Think It Will Get Better When The New Wears Of The Car And Exhaust.

Last month I went on a 600 mile trip and averaged 19 mpg. Did alot of playing around and leadfooted the Charger every chance I got. One other trip netted 21 mpg, but that was before I added some goodies. With the add-ons I just could'nt control my basic juvenile nature.
