I might sound a litte biest since I am a lightning owner but lets face it guys with the v10 , 6 speed, all that body kit . all the other stuff and not to mention that ricer wing that thing looks like a $ 20 doller bolt on from Auto zone.
No way their going to price under $50.000 and for that price it should out run the lightning. Why dont they do any thing with that big and bad Hemi im hearing about.even if they slaped a eaton on it, that 5000lb truck body will go into play theirs no way that thing would run in the 13s. It would all boil down to The new ram needs to go on a diet maby take a little bit of that big bulkey

You really dont want Dodge to start with the "big bad hemi" as you put it....you might want to go out and pick up a copy of the february Car and Driver and take a look at the cover....teh SRT-8 has a supercharged Hemi that puts out 480hp's!....think about it....supercharged hemi in a dakota(about the same size as the lightning) and you got yourself a lightning killer right out of the factory!....just think about it.........:D

Don't let him get you excited boys. I know Adam he owns a lightning (351) not the the one that the SRT-10 is going to annihilate but the earlier one. As far as ricer wings goes well he drives one every day (nissan). It ain't got a wing but a ricer is a ricer. Some of them are good cars. Besides that Adam a ricer wing has to be tall enough for a kid to swing off of it to be called one. A mouse might swing off that one. It is there for downforce to hold the truck on the road at 150 or more. As far as auto zone bolt-ons, I believe you shop there quite a bit. I'm sure the SRT-10 will probably cost more than a lightning. Look at the equipment you get. Yes it is heavy which is all the more reason for you to get in the right lane when it comes by. Dodge bashing is fine if you are on a ford site just like ford and chevy bashing goes on here. It is expected and part of the reason of a brand specific site. It's kinda like walking your dog to the neighbors to take a S#%T to knock a brand on their site. Anyway, I ain't mad at him. He just sooo crazy to jump in here with the wolves. I would take either of them. Lightnings are badd ass and the new supercharged Harleys are too. The SRT-10 will be insane. But it's not like Ford can't just build something faster. Any of the big three could just build something a little quicker than the others at the time. Then someone will out do them.
I'm a Ford guy who bought a Ram because TO ME it looks the best out there for 2WD trucks. 4WD, I would take a F-250.
My opinion is Dodge is late to the game and even more so is Chevy. Ford has had no competition in this market. They have been competing with themselves. All they had to do is make every new year Lightning a little better than the last and they were ahead of the game. If Dodge and Chevy had been making performance trucks all this time then even the Lightning would be better than it is now. They had no reason to be in the 500 club like the.................................... NEW BIG BAD ASSSS RAM. But now it will be good for all. Hopefully Ford and Chevy will release new trucks that are more powerfull and faster than the Ram
so that dodge will just SUPERCHARGE THAT BEAST and it will be all over!

I don't know, I think Dodge should have stuck with the prototype from last year, this looks like a JC Whitney's catalog threw up on a regular cab Ram. Compare the photos.

I like the front fascia from the prototype better...and the lower spoiler on the prototype was better also but other then that the new wheels are cool! I love the look of this truck!:D

Take another look. On the prototype the bumper is underdone and the sideskirts are overdone. For once somebody got a production vehicle just right. Ford build a stronger lightning? Sure they got the 3 valve heads coming that will probably give it 20 or 30 HP, but most people who turn up the boost on them end up picking their spark plugs up off of the road.I'm sure you've heard fix or repair daily. Why ask for it. And whatever dodo recycling supercooler or whatever they are spouting off about is just that. Crappy hype.

Funny how it says Dodge Fan under his name. It really is stupid to compare performance figures with a Supercharged motor versus an N/A motor. I still believe Ford could easily make a V10 with similar #s, but they don't. As I believe Dodge could supercharge the Hemi to have better output than Fords 5.4L, but they don't. It's a matter of personal preference.

I give the dodge my vote cause I'm a mopar man( I can't ever let my ford buddies hear me say a ford is cool :stk: ).............

I don't know which one is faster, but faster is faster I don't care if it's supercharged, turbo charged, nitrous boosted, whatever ........the bottom line is how fast it goes :)
