I saw this thing online, its a resistor that you cross over a connection under the hood, im not sure where and is suposto override the cars computer making it always think the air temp. is 56 degrees creating increased hp. Does that sound like it would work or has anyone tried it??

I dont see it happening

It does make it think it's cooler and therefore will make it a little bit higher performance... however it's at the expense of more fuel being dumped in. As for the claim of how much gain you'll get, you won't get near that.

it is bs....and I have heard you may get a check engine light from it...
if it sounds to good to be true....it is

you wont get that kind of performance but it will make some differnce

This resistor is the same thing as the Power Wire offered by a site sponser... if it weren't true and didn't give something, he wouldn't be selling it.

I doubt that 20hp would be gained, but there would be an increase. Considering the ideal temp for an internal combustion engine is approx 59 degrees, this is where you would "pick up" the additional hp.
