I am working on a 01 GC that will not start. I Checked the starter, relay and fuses. They are all ok. When I turn the key I can hear the relay click but that is it. The light light for the security in the dash stays on when I turn the key.
I also checked the wiring from the relay to the starter and it was ok.
Has anyone run across this problem?

Probably the starter motor is cooked. The click u hear would be from the solenoid. This is my best guess. Good luck.

That was my first guess too. i pulled the starter and tested it on the bench.
It is good. I found I do not have power to the small wire at the starter.

Have you recently changed the battery? I would also make sure you reset the factory alarm system by putting the key in the drivers door & turning it to the right and holding it for a few seconds & then try to start it.

Check if your shifter is completely locked in park position. I had a no-start problem with my Ford before and it was because the shifter was pushed beyond the park position and caused the starter to be disabled.
