chat users

at the top of the page where it says chat users,
you should put the members names that are using the chat service, so you don't have to log on to see if you buddy's on or not. just a suggestion

I looked at that, but thought it would take up too much real-estate, particularly if there were many users in it.

What you can do is click on the "Currently Active Users:" link to find out exactly where users are at the moment, including who is in chat :)
