i have a 95 caravan dont know mileage off hand but it starts fine and idles great but when driving it down the road it bucks and tries stalling and actually has stalled a couple of times. i have replaced the map sensor, o2 sensor. throttle position sensor, and all fuel injectors, and cleaned throttle body but still have the same problem. usually does this after it gets warmed up. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. this van has the 3.0 litre engine.

Just a guess but have you replaced the EGR valve?

that was my next move... also wondering if it could be the catalytic converter going bad?

I'm going to pass on that one. I'm really not familiar with cats. Bump to anyone?

From what I have experienced... I would suggest that you first replace the EGR & then the catalytic converter... I experienced the same thing a couple years back.

Hope this helps...

Had a very similar problem. Heavy hesitation after stop while van is at normal temp. Slowly got worse and would happen more frequently. Started stalling while running down highway, no particular speed. Changed most available sensors. Troubleshooting was pointing me towards the optical sensor in the distributor...but this dummy didn't trust himself so I took it to the dealer. About to give up on it. Dealer had hack of a time getting the van to repeat but finally stranded him on his way home. He had to drive it alot to repeat stalling problem. Dealer finally pointed towards optical sensor (3.0L) Hall effect sensor (2.5L). Of course the sensor was not available except with new distributor. Went with distributor...has run fine for two years.

I also remeber... my van was stalling & running rough & I pulled codes & had a bad map/baro sensor... I replaced it & no change in the behavior of the van... I pulled codes & map/baro came up again... turned out that my "new" map/baro sensor was the culprit. I tested it for voltage & sure enough wasn't right... replaced & checked it again... fixed. I must have gotten a bad one... that's what the parts guys told me.

Just a thought... always check for trouble codes... more than once.
