Occassionally my car will backfire on startup. It usually happens if it has been sitting for a day or so. Once it is started it will start up fine the rest of the day. Ever since I got the car it will not crankover on the first try everytime, but the backfire problem is new. I am thinking that it is a bad fuel injector, but I would hate to change them all and find out that the problem still exists. I tried using LUCAS fuel system cleaner and am on the second tank of gas to see if maybe an injector is just dirty. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Your comments and ideas have helped me in the past and have save money.

I took the car in and found out that the right timing was off by one tooth. So far so good. I changed the plugs, because they looked a little fouled.
