92 caravan transmission

I bought a 1992 caravan that will drive about 10 feet and then lock up tight. It does this in forward and reverse. Put it in neutral and rolls easy. Is it shot or could it be something simple. It has a 3.3 motor what other vehicles have the same tranny?

I've got a '92 as well, but I'm no tranny expert. This link, even though it started out regarding 3.0 vs 3.3 engines got pretty detailed as to problems you may experience with certains trannys. Good Luck!
