Trans. Oil

Can I substituted the dealers oil for my 6 speed trans. for standard 70/90 transmision gear oil. I am well past warranty and was wondering if there is much difference between the 2

No, transmissions require a much lower viscosity oil. On my HE gear we use 3 oils, 10w for hydraulics and transmissions, 30w for engines, and 90w for diffs, axles, and final drives.

Follow what the manufacturer recommends if you want your truck to last you for any length of time.
