It's my understanding that (some?) 1989-1993 diesel Dodge's used the NP205 transfercase. Non-slip yoke.
Is this information correct?
I saw a picture that intrigued me, it was supposedly one of the above year 205's, that was obviously set up for an electronic speedometer.
I'm familiar with how the older style 205's drove the speedometer cable, but this setup was threaded in place of the speedometer cable (like an old ratio adapter) but instead of having threads for the speedometer cable on the other end, it had a 2 wire(from what I could see) electrical plug.
Can anyone confirm for certain the 89-93 Diesel trucks used the 205, and if what I saw was off of one of those trucks?
I'm looking for information (ouput mainly) on that "electrical adapter" that would hopefully allow me to run a factory electronic speedometer on an older truck.
Thanks!
Dorian
