I just bought a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. While test driving, I noticed there are no lights (lit) on the steering wheel nor on the dash to the left of the steering wheel.

When I brought it to the attention of the salesman, he seemed to be annoyed at the question and abruptly told me it doesn't have them, but he will verify this on another vehicle. When we returned to the lot, he "looked" at another vehicle, came back and told me that one too is like this one.

I took his word for it, but after some other things that have happened with the sale of this, I am doubting him. Can someone look at theirs and let me know. If it is lit take a digital picture of it showing the lighting and email it to me or post it to the thread.

I also got taken for a $900 built in ceiling DVD Player / LCD Screen. I have never heard of the brand Pyle. I found their web site, MLP on this model is $722, but found many other installation companies offering it installed for less than $500.

I almost wish I could go back in time by 1 week! I would certainly do this whole thing differently.

If you are talking about lights for the speed control buttons on the steering wheel there are none , you just have to learn the location and the on/off indicatior is up on the dash near mileage display . Also if you are talking about lights on the dash for stuff like the power mirrors and or stuff on the doors for windows again there are none , just part of the decontenting of the vans . My 96 Voyager had all these lights and I too miss them all . Our 2004 is missing all this stuff , lighted mirror controls, headlight switch, lighted keyring , 2 roof lamps, and the dual tailgate lamps and my personal favorite is no underhood lamps at all , what the heck were they thinking with this???? I would rather have these than stuff like ABS , regular brakes have always worked fine for me , besides most people don't know how to use them anyway they still pump them to get them to stop.

When its no longer under warrenty if you can grab me some pictures, I might be able to think up a lil mod to fix that lighting problem.

Can't be too hard to add dash lights (can it?).
