how to get trouble codes

I have a 2003 Dodge Neon SXT 2.0 is there a way to find out the trouble codes without a scanner some cars you can turn key on a few times then leave on and code will flash can you do this with a 2003 Dodge Neon

You should be able to pull up the codes with the keys.

Turn on, off,on,off and back on. But don't start it.They say you should drive the car and get it warmed up to normal operateing temp fisrt. This keeps the codes fresh I guess.Hell it's worth a try, if it workes or not. Good luck
