Replaced rear main seal. Ever since then Car has idled at 3500 to 4000 rpm. It is a 1996 Dodge Neon. Car ran fine before the replacement of the rear main other than the typical neon problem of the dash board. We can not find any evidence of a vacuum leak. Have had the codes read and it comes up with the torque converter lockup solenoid and one on the Idle which was a given. Can somebody please help?????

When I had a vacuum leak, I didn't get a code for it... did you have to pull the intake manifold to get the tranny off? That would be the first place I'd look.
TCC wiring and connections are foreign to me...
Best of luck!

Maybe one of the cables got jumbled up in the re-install process. Thats seems a little high idle for a vacume leak. Is it possible the T/B may be stuck open a bit.Beats me but that would def. make the thing seem to idle high. Good luck.
