i have a 2000 with a bad starter.just bought this truck and am unsure of what type of starter bolts these are and how to remove them

I seriously doubt the starter itself is bad. It probably just needs starter contacts. If you go over to www.dieseltruckresource.com and join...do a search on Starter Contacts. You'll find PLENTY of reading as well as where to order them. (I can't remember right now, it's been 3 years)
