sad to them go , i have a 02 and love it . always had shadows before that , its our 2nd car here at home ..... and a dependable one at that. :D

I will always miss seein the new neons in the car lots, My dream car was a BRAND NEW SRT4. Prolly wont happen now, I have no credit and am 18. Im on my seconf neon now and i love it, the neon will sadly be missed.

I'm not sayin yer slow... I'm saying a 1st Gen would eat you alive on any kind of road course... Your car is ummmmm... well rounded, compared to 1st Gens. You should get it weighed, I'm curious as to how much it would weigh in at. No offense, Its all neons here, lets not bash each other. No car is good at everything, each has a strength and a weakness. Besides... I cant afford the shipping and plane ticket to come to Australia w/ my car to race, LOL.
BTW... 5.0's and Nissans aint slow, so if you can beat them, props. I'd like to know what you're runnin under your hood that you arent posting on your signature though...

Alot of u guys dont believe me but the fule catalyst didnt go astray. I noticed the difference instantly. Im guessin 8 - 10 hp at the crank. Was really noticable. I will dyno soon hopefully.
I may be runnin some high compression pistons I may not! lol.
The 98 octane fuel aint bad too!
But it aint all about hp, its what u do with what u have!
It aint the size on the "dodge" that counts, its how u use your "dodge"!! Any girls out there agree? lol

Second gens - 1163 kg.
Aint that much of a difference.
Second gens do look ALOT better though! lol
We have GOOD head lights too, that dont go yellow! lol

All I can say about the different gen Neons is that other than the 05 and up that have the SMART PCM, They all got A HELL OF ALOT OF POTENTIAL.
The few lbs in wieght might hurt handling and performance a tad but that can be all leveled out with some weight reduction,and go fast goodies.
The headlights in the 1st gens suck fur seal penis. :VHOT: Thus we have the painted eyelids. It hides some of the ugly yellow.Not to mention wipes off that stupid ear to ear smile it had in stock form.Like a big happy beattle or sumthin.

I bought my daughter an 04 SX2.0 (Neon) brand new and its been the greatest little car for under 20K money can buy. Its never been back to the shop for anything but oil changes (ya, dad is too lazy to change the oil) :)

That was the day I brought it home. I have since added the 2004 wing on the back and made some fancy DODGE letters in yellow for the top of the windshield. I couldn't even tell you how it goes because I am not allowed to drive it :( She says I drive too hard :D

Thats all the difference???? I thought it was more like 150-200lbs between a 2dr 1st gen and a 2nd gen... whatever that is in kilo's.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... i think the 2nd gens look like shnit, other than the SRT's and your Chrysler is pretty sharp too, HOODOO, i'll give you that.
As for the yellow headlights, i just used some swirlmark remover polish for the paint and that took the yellow of the outside of the lenses. as for the inside i hear denture cleaner works wonders, just mix some up and swirl it around the inside. I'm going to try it when the thaw comes. unnecessary outdoor work is put on standbye in winter.
