625 000kms on 5.9L V8

I was browsing around for a new/used work vehicle ...came across this 2002, B2500 Maxi Ram Van. 625 000kms (395 000 miles) on the Magnum V8! Don't believe me? ..take a look at the link below. I'm guessing it was used as an airport taxi.... The page will only be live for a couple more weeks.

I believe it. Back when I was turning wrenches we had a customer who had is own courier business. He had a '96 Ford E150 van with the bulletproof 300cid straight-6 engine and when he sold it in '99 it had around 360,000 miles. Needless to say he very meticulous about the maintenance.


That's definitely a testament to the reliability of the old 318's and 360's. Not sure how these new engines (4.7 & 5.7) will hold up over the years...I guess we'll see.
