Hello all Newbie here. I was hoping someone could help me I'm having problems with my front top shock mounts. They have been fixed before & lasted as long as it did.It was before I had it. Is there a replacement for this so you don't have to mount it to the fender well. Any help will be better than none. Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately there isn't any other way to mount the shocks in an A-100. The shock mounts are spot welded (and sometimes bolted as well) to the fenderwell. What will have to be done is the mounts removed and new steel welded in the fenderwell and then the mounts can be re-welded to that. Then this can all be coated with POR-15 and undercoated.

This is assuming the shock mounts have come off due to rust in the fenderwell.

Thanks nate It wasn't rust, the old guy I got the van from had it fixed but The metal is flexing & making noise when I hit a bump The metal is cracking. It got worse when I put new leaf springs & shocks so the drivers side was so bad the mount came loose. Plus I'm about 230 thats alot for that wheel. I was hoping that there might be a aftermarket mount that would mount to the frame. Thanks for the info.

230..is that all? I go about 304 (I'm a fat sumbitch :D ) and I've never had a shock mount crack. Make sure that the fenderwell is in good shape with no previous bondo repairs. Have a metal/welding shop either weld up your shock mounts and weld them back in or they can fabricate new ones.

I don't know of any aftermarket mounts that would fit an A-100. Our vans are pretty "special" in that regard.
