I have a 1990 Dodge B250 ram van, with a 318, auto, a/c, Mark III mini conversion. I'm getting smoke coming out of my a/c fan switch when on high. But nothing on the other settings. Is it the switch or the fan reisistor. Or can the blower motor going bad.

I'm also getting a check engine light coming on, when I go on road trips. Everything is good all gauges check out, all fluids good, the van runs fine. I got the codes I think, 1 2 4 and 1 5 5. thats what is flashing at me.

And one more thing, my oddometer and tripmeter are not working, the rest of the dash is good, speedometer ect. could it be the speed sensor.

Any help please, this is a good van very low miles, the oddometer stopped at 49906. I bought it with 35700 2 years ago. some inteior problems.

It's possible the blower motor is drawing too much power when on high causing the switch to smoke. Try replacing the switch first and see what happens...it's possible the switch may have an internal short.

Not sure what those codes are.

If the speedo is working but the odom. and tripom. aren't, then it's an internal problem in the gauge itself. The odometer and tripometer are run off of gears inside the gauge.
