I know that I really need a 4x4 but I'm thinking about trying to do a small apartment contract with my '77 B300. What do you think? With my 500 lb. lawn tractor in the ass-end as ballast, 245 snow tires, straps or chains....

Midwest winters... 2 or 3 snows usually, 3" - 9" (not Vermont or Mass).

Anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks!

Buddy of mine has a '65 A-100 van with slant six/manual trans., Sure-Grip 3.91 rear, 3" lift with chains on the tires and he can push the snow just fine.

You have to get it quick..especially if it's a wet snow..maybe 2 passes for every one w/ a 4x4....Dont forget it's not just your truck you are risking...it's your reputation if you can't get the job done...
