squealing when accelerating

I just got a 2004 ST with 16, 000 miles on it and every once in awhile when I accelerate out of a stop I will hear a squealing noise that sounds like it's coming from the rear for the first few seconds, then it will disappear, any idea what it could be? My brakes are also pretty squeaky, I don't know if they are connected or what.

I'd take it to the dealership. Even though you're the second owner, they should still honor 3/36 warranty.
